Another page with the Spell Loom and Lockre waking up in his new body. The last panel of this page took forever to do, but I am really happy with the results… (on an unrelated note Lockre and Mira will only ever journey through forests that have just fallen victim to a forest fire…) Still, if everyone likes it enough I will work on trying to do the entire comic in the same style.

First off, the colors on the spell loom are indeed supposed to be different, it is not artist error on my part. This is because Aeric just inserted a new rune into the large rune circle. The reddish-orange coloring signifies that the circle is rewriting itself to reflect the addition.

And we also get to see what Dark was like early on, generally involving talking about burning things down. As for the look of both Light and Dark, you might notice that their eyes are not glowing with their usual colors (white and red respectively). The reason for this is because their connection to Lockre is currently very weak, and that weakness results in them appearing 'ill' so to speak.

EDIT on 4-29-2009:
One thing I forgot to mention until I checked the update today was Aria's mage belt changing colors. In the years that have passed since we last saw her, she has been promoted from a Weaver to a Master Mage within the Aetheris Order. As is befitting of her rank she was given her new mage belt and the associated rank pins (the gold triangles usually seen holding the mage belt in position).
