Linked Fate
Author notes
City of Intrigue pg 43
Lord Rend onAnother page on time, and the next is already ready to be uploaded… it feels good to be able to get back on a regular schedule.
Anyways, the next page is the last page of this phase, so next Wednesday finishes this phase. Furthermore, I am almost finished reviewing the database, so that link will be returning soon (hopefully with new database content).
Not much to explain here I suppose… The wall of text does a fairly decent job of that I guess. I will however mention a couple things; namely Mira's Sigil Titan entry and the theories in the first entry.
First, the theories that Mira mentions here are only some of the discussion. One theory that is not mentioned is that the people of Nuun decided to wipe out the Sekechi before they all faded away. As will be mentioned in the database, the disappearances in Nuun started occurring nearly three hundred years before the Nuun Uprising and really began en masse fifty years before. The rate of disappearances was such that if the people of Nuun did actually lead the Uprising they would have needed to find a cure or solution. Otherwise there would not have been any of them left. Needless to say, there is a lot of confusion surrounding the events that led to the fall of the Sekechi Hegemony, so any theories are equally valid giving the lack of physical evidence.
As for Mira's entry regarding Lockre's birthday. Yeah, kind of awkward I would think… She is also slightly confused because having dinner together is a bit more than simple acquaintances (or 'allies')would do. She is not sure if she is seeing a crack in Lockre's armor or if he is just thanking her for her help. Time will tell…
EDIT (11-18-09):
One thing I did forget to mention is the snow in the second panel. The blizzard in the background could probably use some work, but that is not the main thing. Lockre has no snow on him for the most part because he is made of shield shaped into a body-form. Shields are simply energy/ plasma and, since heat is simply vibrational energy of molecules, his body heats up the snow that comes in contact with it (the same principle gives him the illusion of having body heat like a normal person). However, energy constructs do not absorb water very well, so he is not wet from the melted snow, although he does leave a trail of water/ ice in his wake during the winter.
