This comic was done for a competition, the 'cheltenham illustration awards'. The entry had to be along the theme 'travellers tales'. I wanted to do a comic about how I felt as a kid- totally bored and unappreciative of the little things in life! I figured all kids must feel like that, no matter where they live! So I got out a map of India (the most exotic place I could think of, plus I wanted the 'traveller' to be a Buddhist monk) and randomly placed my finger down somewhere, and it landed on Kashmir. Turns out Kashmir's a very pretty place, it was fun to research :)
