As I probably mentioned somewhere this story was inspired by my watching of some flat earthed videos on YouTube. The first was called 200 proofs the earth is not a spinning ball. It's two hours and is basically bad understanding of science. It questions gravity and uses experiments with tennis balls as proof of that being wrong. I don't know I mean scale and mass might be a factor there 😂😂😂
That said there were a few points I couldn't dismiss outright and they got me thinking. By thinking I mean researching and thinking. Why can we see things further away than we should based on the curvature of the earth? Well, for one the earth isn't a perfect sphere, there's peaks and troughs and the equation they use to calculate the distance doesn't account for such variables. I could go on but I can't be arsed.
Long story short, the video was filled with misunderstanding of basic science and used that to sound clever, and it would to people who missed a few too many science lessons at school.
