Hope you enjoyed that. It's a story I'm pretty proud of.

As I mentioned at the beginning it was the merging of two ideas. One was the desire to do a story set in the trenches of ww1, the other was a ghost story that start in the 17th century where a spurned lover curses the man who hurt her. it then followed his bloodline as she haunted them as per the curse, only she was the one suffering watching people live their lives while she watched unable to do anything to make them suffer,

Naturally it changed quite a bit to become what you've just read.

Not sure how much comes across but I wanted to touch on mental health and the attitudes of the time. Keith may have suffered some PTSD and mild depression on his return from the war. I wrote Edith as having borderline personality disorder, the feelings of abandonment are what led to decisions and eventual suicide.
