038 - Hammer Time

I've had that punchline in my head for the past six years. Ever since I first heard that line. God damn I wish I was that quick witted all the time. Yeah, it took me six years to use the joke, but I still came up with it pretty quickly.

One thing I've learnt about webcomics is that it's a lot like the movies. You characters are your actors, you have the good and the bad, etc. With LWI, I take the role of the writer and the producer (I put the pages up, do the advertising, all that) while Paul takes on the vital role of the director.

Like any director, Paul has a vision that may differ from the writer's. It's not a bad thing, far from it. He's done wonders for this comic. For example, in my idea, David was just this guy who stood there and smiled while crazy shit happened around him. Paul gave him more reactions and a larger emotional range. The quiet straight man has become a much more interesting character.

Having said that, much like any movie, we need criticism. Anything you guys want to point out? If so, go for it.
