049 - Prescription Part One

The return of the stories. Also, the guy is crazy, of course he's going to be on some meds.

So I've finally gotten down to it and bought some graphic novels that weren't by Marvel, DC or Vertigo. Last week I picked up the Umbrella Academy and today I picked up The Walking Dead (Although, I do confess I bought The Death of Captain America Vol. 3 today as well. It was pretty good).

So, what's my opinion on titles outside the big two? Well, so far I have to admit I like the differences. UAs abstract and almost cartoony artwork and WD having swearing and gore that translates well in a grey tone style. Both were much more violent than any of other stuff I read. Hell, the Vertigo titles I have aren't like this. I love it.

Seriously, I recommend the hell out of these two and hope to have something else next week.

In other news, I have a war comic I want to do. Something with a little bit of violence, some swearing, a touch of sex and a lot of crazy shit going on. I'll need a penciller, inker, colourist/toner and if I find someone who's better at lettering than me I'll take them you don't have to be able to do all of them. Two-three pages a week, with a three week buffer so that if it gets published like I hope it will, there'll be incentive for people to buy it. No pay, but I already have a fan base, so there'll be some fame. If interested, send me an email with links to samples.
