I'm not pro-drugs, but there has always been one thing that's bothered me. Why is it considered okay for cats to get high when apparently it's too dangerous for humans?
So, another week, another thought. As some of you know, when LWI started it was supposed to be a sort of New Year's resolution thing (That it started in December makes no difference) that I would draw the damn strip for a year, then scrap it and start a new one with my much more improved art. A month later, I saw the potential this strip had and hired Paul to further that.
So what the hell am I going on about? Well, much like other webcomics, I would like to broaden my audience by doing yearly collections. Of course, this won't be happening for a while, but I like to plan ahead. Anyway, I have about 30 LWI strips from my days as the artist and I'm conflicted on whether to keep them or not. This would mean I could start putting together the book this December. But then again, that might scare off people. However, again, this is also how the main characters are introduced. So, I have a couple of options before me.
1. Leave them in as normal. 2. Put them in, but under a different section to Paul's. 3. I pick out three or four and when he has time, Paul redraws the strips and all my stuff gets thrown out. 4. I don't put them in and redraw them at a later date, if I ever learn how to draw. 5. We just pretend they never existed.
And if you're wondering, no Paul hasn't given me a full year commitment. But, he was nice enough to promise two week's notice if he felt he would have to quit, so then I could get a replacement in time. That's what I love about this guy, he doesn't make promises he can't keep and he doesn't leave you disappointed.
