It's Dixie Baseball season, Dixie Baseball is Little League Baseball for various ages of teen children. There have been many stories in every variety of childrens sports, of parents pushing their children and trying to mold them into pro athletes, or live vicariously through their children. This is very evident in Dixie Baseball. This cartoon is slightly lighter in general tone than I wanted to go, however I was urged by my editor not to push the Dixie parents too far, as they can be quite a handful, and I'm sure he didn't want to deal with them in an angry state.
