I've come to the conclusion that my editor doesn't care what I draw for my editorial cartoon… as long as it won't piss off people he doesn't feel like dealing with. When I showed him my idea for a Mother's Day comic which was essentially a personalized card for my Mom, he had no objections whatsoever.

Personally I think it is a beautiful comic, probably one of my best yet. I'm a little biased, but that’s just my opinion.
