For your better understanding of the setting, I put this together! Grandma's husband's father parceled off some of the land and sold it for houses to be built. Also, most of the forest is now public property. Originally, the land was way huge. It's still pretty huge though. You don't see all of it here. Way far past the hill is the town cemetery, which was all land owned by Grandma's husband's family.
