This scene played out a little differently than I intended, in the first draft Stakken did very little, the promlem was it would seem odd that when he does things later.  With that in mind I decided that Stakken would take action, that then pre-empted plot aspects I was going to hold onto.
So to clear up what is known about the characters.
Calisa, very little save that she leads them and is a fighter.
Brogan, again not a lot except that he is Luanas father and is trying to match her with Davin.  Oh and has tracking skills and a keen sense of smell.
Luana, also has tracking skills.  
Davin, a fighter of sorts.  you may have noticed from his armour it's the same as the town guardsmans you saw at the beginning on the comic.  Yup he is moonlighting as an adventurer.
Stakken, he looks creepy and has magic powers of some kind.  being stabbed doesn't seem to phase him…
