This chapter has been written, rewritten, dissected and rewritten more than anything I have ever done.

In the earlier drafts if began with the main characters in a tavern discussing the lack of work and their options, but that was before I decided to put in the "encounters" chapter and used some of that material there. It also involved other elements which I won't discuss yet as they would be spoilers. This opening scene was a very late addition as in every version there was too much info dump and not enough excitement. That alone caused me to rejig a number of elements from the story. Another element that threw a spanner into the works was Bringing Brogan back last chapter. Originally his journey would have been a part of this chapter.
