I'm afraid the last bit of this comic will be ruined if people don't know their history. So, I'm here to tell you about it!

The joke is that the A-Bomb dropped on Nagasaki was called "Fat-Man" and I, myself, am a fat man. Also, the art in the last panel is reference to that scene in "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"

All the women in the second panel are real people! They are (not in order)Meredith Gran, Danielle Corsetto, Jennie Breeden, and none other than Kate Beaton.

Next week week on December 4th marks the 4 month mark of us not missing an update. Go us. We are model citizens in the webcomic community! Speaking of, The Pen is Mightier is on it's final week for the first series. The second series will be starting early January hopefully. With that said, I'd like to see if anyone would be willing to help me with the running of TPiM. Taking care of updates when I can't and even putting together battles in photoshop. It's gonna be easy work and it'd be greatly appreciated. If you're interested, PQ me.
