Here we have the introduction of two aspects of the comic I fear will run away from me and become something much larger than I intended: the internet and Lovecraft Fangirl.
It occurs to me, the username "xPurpleRosesx" does not make any sense yet; as it has not yet been established that her name is Rosiline or that her hair is purple.
The "idle" pose Rosiline takes comes from something that I do inadvertently which is apparently really creepy. Unless my mind is otherwise occupied, I will fold my hands in my lap and either close my eyes or stare into space. I tend to do on long car trips when people are attempting to make conversation with me and I don't notice.
This was, in fact, my first idea for how the internet would look in this comic. Four days before the comic was sceduled to go up, I decided I didn't like it, and tried this strip in several different styles: Chibis standing on a spider's web; Gaia sprites being Gaia sprites very obviously, the people superimposed over text message screen… then I decided this was a better idea after all.
