I'm afraid that, with this comic. Lovecraft Yaoi has just passed into the realm of absurd. I mean, even though it makes perfect sense in context, a ninja just showed up on someone's doorstep.
It gets extra absurd points for being a ninja. Ninjas are becoming overdone.
They ought to be turned.

…but that would make them vampire ninjas.
Maybe that's why the comic's a little absurd this week.
