This is the first time I drew the entire cat together. You'll notice Paul is not in the image. I had not progressed for enough into the plot for his extreme necessary-ness to make its self evident.
We also see early character designs for Papillion. I did in fact consider spiking his hair into kitty ears, as I have seen that in real life, but I thought it was too manga-esque for this comic. Penny might do it later, though. With a large bottle of gel. He changed more than any other character over the course of the comic. In the first comic in which he appeared, I was afraid it was not evident that he was male, so he became more and more muscular until I no longer found him attractive.
I am going to try to even this out a little, with attempts to find an even balance between muscular, attractive, and asian.
His height is not changing. I know it's a little weird for a Japanese American to be five ten, but it's also weird for a raver to grow a braid and work as a DARE officer.
