I think that Rosiline just summed up this entire comic.
Orignially, Cheryl was going to act very afraid of Shino and stand in place looking scared. Then I was laying out the comic and it just occured to me, "No, Cheryl is affectionate to a fault, has no sense of self-preservation, and is on good enough terms with her brother to pet-sit for him regularly. If she glomps strangers, she'd glomp Shino."
Cheryl is actually one of the "realest" characters in my head, in that I keep writing her and then she goes and does something that totally surprises me, but I can't write it out because she's acting in character. She did the same thing when meeting Kunni. I might have mentioned it in that commentary, but orginially the storyline would end with Cheryl meeting Kunni, being terrified, and leaving. But except for the whole "I love Twilight/I hate Twilight" and "I glomp everything/don't touch me or I'll scream", they're very similar and would probably if not get along at least politely cohabitate. Like two fish you can keep in the same tank. They aren't friends, it doesn't hurt anyone to keep them together.
