One of the many planets in the Lullaby universe. If Iddy ever manages to build that rocket she may visit this place one day.

OsDen is a hollow planet, entirely made of a calcium-like substance.
The inhabitants of this planet are bug-like creatures, they eat roots and mushrooms and what else you'd expect to grow in a place like this. The surface of OsDen is pitch black because it orbits no sun. The planet's core emits light and warmth, thus the inhabitants live underground permanently.

New OsDenians grow in those egg hives you can see in the middle, souls are drawn to the center of OsDen and become encased in the hives till they're mature enough to hatch. The OsDen inhabitants call themselves the Hiveborn (as opposed to f.e. Cororo's Starborn).

As the name implies the Hiveborn exhibit fairly hive like behavior. Food is gathered, stashed and the shared by everyone. The Hiveborn aren't strictly vegetarians and will sometimes prey on each other. And everyone's ok with that.

A good example of the Hiveborn mentality is the LongLongWorm. Its body is constantly growing and tangling itself all over OsDen. When you pinch its back end it won't feel it for several days. Its tail is regularly cut to be eaten. In turn the worm gets fed with roots and such, as it would be too tangled up to move and find food on its own. When it doesn't get fed enough it will gulp down a random passerby, that's seen as a fair trade-off since the others ate of the worm as well. Give and take, eat and be eaten. That's the OsDen way.
