@mikeytheblackmantis - yeah. sensitivity helps.

@krisikas - thanks.

@JustNoPoint - cliche: main characters dont die stupid deaths.

@BlkKnight, trevoramueller - I got a 95 Honda and when I brake it, it brakes as good as a new car. The key is regular maintenance.

@Peipei, Rutger - nope. no suiciding.

@SarahN - lmao!

@magickmaker - Could be more about going to jail or denting the car.

@LanceDanger, Akki333, seventy2 - thanks for complimenting my 'car'. lol Much appreciated.

Notes on Page (and rant)

I'm THAT up ahead as far as scripting is concerned. Right now I'm at the 8th chapter of PARA-SAYO (trans: 'just for you'), the planned sequel of this comic. It is gonna be mostly set in the Philippines. Its partly a war comic, therefore making it darker and more violent than MAG-ISA (so far, unless I edit out scenes. In MAG-ISA so far, there's a couple deleted scenes. I might put up the script form of the deleted scenes of MAG-ISA.).

The conflict is the Islamic and Communist insurgency in the Philippines that was at its peak in the 70s and 80s.

It still goes on today but on a lesser scale. While it used to be large formations of rebels vs the military, these days its more of rebels attacking isolated police stations or military units.

Anyway, the main character is a member of the Musangs (elite Philippine Army unit).

Self Crit: I suck at drawing guns. :( Thats suppose to be an M16 with an attatched M203 grenade launcher.

The fun thing bout this planned comic is the research about military equipment of that time period. Since the Philippines was a client state of the USA during that time, they'd have vietnam war weapons. Though the Philippines chose to modify existing US equipment to better suit their needs. If you research for instance the V150 APC, theres alot of variants of it. Its a favorite of the Philippine Army and they produced improved variants namely the Kalakian (trans: 'largeness'), Hari-Digma (trans: 'king of war'), and the Simba (a joint British-Filipino project)

I'm also nervous because I'm not sure if I can pull off a battle scene properly. I can tell that I'll screw up big time in the depiction of military tactics no matter how much I try to read about them. lol

Also with hand-to-hand combat. While I did MMA for a few months and watched tons of fight videos (both skilled and unskilled), I still think I'll screw up the fight scenes. :(
