@simonitro, Walrus, Peipei, Righter13 - Its a generational thing I suppose. But I agree a little when older people say that the current generation is weaker. I just wish they can be proven DEAD WRONG.

@magickmaker, Aussie_kid - its cuz women are traditinally known as the physically weaker sex. There are exceptions of course. Due to genetics and those who take the gym too seriously.

@ghostrunner, SarahN - In the army, expect that kind of treatment during training. I did my compulsory army training in the Philippines and the officers wont hesitate to insult you or verbally abuse you at the first sign of weakness or just for the hell of it (considering Fr. Jose is former military).

At first I thought that's only in the Philippines but no. Its standard procedure for every military in the world (the general overall harshness). Filipino troops would snipe cans on the heads of their fellow troops, Mexican army would kill dogs with their bare hands, North Koreans would walk on broken glass while being whacked with sticks, Iranians would jump through burning tires… etc. Whatever it takes to bring out that killer instinct. To make you "tough".

You can't expect to be lovey dovey in the army. lol Where do you think that stereotypical mean drill sergeant in the movies came from?
