Rant of the Day
———————

Today's rant is about TYRANNY and how it manifests itself in the first place.

First of all, do you really think that tyranny just happens because some crazy dictator (or group of people) just one day decides it? Of course not. As the people would definitely not cooperate with it. And non-cooperation stops a tyranny from working. Case in point, if you read about the 1986 EDSA REVOLUTION in the Philippines, the soldiers of President Marcos refused to cooperate. They refused to shoot their own people.

Tyranny starts with good intentions.

For example. Talk about random checkpoints and disarming the public. Of course it sounds good. If you can BAMBOOZLE/CON/SCAM/TRICK enough people to think that its for their safety. You know, to stop drunk drivers or the common thug. Sounds reasonable.

But that sets a precedent for further abuse. As the more you are conditioned to accept one thing, it makes way for the next. Do you think the social planners are stupid? They study human behavior all day long. For instance, Communism sounds good as it talks about equal distribution of wealth, free healthcare, free education, etc. But remember… that a government does not give anything for free. Do you know what that is? That is only about asking for more taxes and putting more government control in your life. Its all about the destruction of the sovereignity of the individual.

That is why its important to think critically and see "underneath the underneath" like what that Kakashi guy said in that Naruto anime. :)

Otherwise, you will fall prey to a predatory state.

@JustNoPoint - lmao thats a good one!

@Akki333 - huh?

@Whirlwynd, Flup, flapjack1995, trevoramueller, armandoB, krisikas, Peipei, ghostrunner - thanks.

@Walrus - either its drunkduck bugging down again or its just your browser. Next time that happens, try reloading the page, restarting the browser, clearing the cache, and using another browser. Sometimes it works on IE and it doesnt work in Firefox (and vice versa)

@BlkKnight, Aussie_kid - war can bring you closer or farther from God. Depends on your perspective. I remember a story from my grandma though that during the Japanese occupation, she and her friends decided to smear mud on themselves and purposely wear filthy clothes that stink. Why? In order to deter the Japanese from raping them. Those Japanese troops were notorious for raping and massacres during WW2. Anyway, my grandma told me that doing that humbled her and made her closer to God. As she had to keep on praying to God to protect her and her friends and family. She's still a pious Christian to this day.

@SarahN - tablets are out of the budget for me. Though I'd be happy to have one. :)

@patoborracho - You'd see more of it in Para Sayo, the sequel to this comic which somewhat focuses on Jose Penafrancia during his time as a soldier. I just hope its not gonna suck because military-based stories need alot of research into them. The US army is more open compared to the Philippine Army though. Because I remember asking questions about training methods in forums frequented by Philippine Army members… then I got suspected of being a commie spy (there's still this ongoing communist and islamic insurgency in the Philippines) and almost got banned. They're THAT paranoid with keeping secrets.

lol anyway its a comic. Its not a documentary. And man, I wish I had a dollar every time I saw inaccuracy in webcomics. :)
