Rant of the Day

I was listening to one of those radio talk shows (one of those stations that plays punk rock). And there was this caller who was calling up about how much he hates his dad.

He was then asked the following questions and this is what he answered:
Why do you hate your dad?
- Cuz he's so "square". He's such a communist.
Why do you say he's a communist?
- Cuz he's so square!!! Ya know… he listens to all that old school crap and its so damn annoying!!!
Does he beat you up?
- No. But… he doesnt understand me!!! (Then he whines on and on about how he hates his dad and cannot give a PROPER reason for it except "he doesnt understand me!!!")

Then the discussion went on and it was soon revealed that:
- His dad drove him all the way to some concert then picked him as well.
- He is 21 years old. He has no job. And doesnt go to school.

- He lives in his parent's basement. Anyway I have nothing against people who live with their parents because I understand cultural traditions and the current economic situation. The point is, IF YOU LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS, DON'T BE A PARASITE!!! GET A JOB AND HELP THEM PAY THE BILLS!!! OR AT THE BARE MINIMUM, APPRECIATE WHAT THEY'RE DOING FOR YOU!!!

- He is arrogant enough to insist that he owns the house even if he doesn't pay a single cent on it.

Anyway, its so sad that there are people like that in this world. At first I thought it was one of those staged calls and its a comedy show. But no its not. He was SERIOUS!!!

Seriously detached from reality. Completely brainwashed by punk rock. Errr… Anyway for the record I listen to punk rock/emo/etc. too and I'm not knocking on you for listening to that. But the point is, you're not suppose to COMPLETELY ABSORB their often self-destructive messages. Just listen to them for LEISURE AND ENTERTAINMENT. DO NOT SWALLOW AND DIGEST EVERYTHING!!! THINK CRITICALLY DAMMIT!!!

@Walrus, worstcase - I watched the Silent Hill movie and I think it was pretty decent. It didn't really come off as horror to me. You know what's scary? Watch the films of Alex Jones (particularly "EndGame" its free in google videos). Also you can watch the Tagalog horror movies. Those are the ones that really scare me. lol

@Aussie_kid - military training has its benefits. But I'm telling you, you have to be AT LEAST in good shape before you join. Its gonna be a rough ride. Expect to be treated like crap by the officers. Especially for new recruits.
