@Nyx - I'm a libertarian. I value freedom of action and thought. And the role of the state SHOULD be only to protect the people from internal and external threats. Like criminals and foreign invaders.

@magickmaker - you wont be as free mentally as soon as the concept of the individual is destroyed and you'd be reduced to a mere animal in the herd.

@krisikas - Thats what the news talking heads and politicians love to say. For some reason, they claim that Canada is better than the USA because the USA is portrayed as some kind of war-mongering nation with a moronic president (under George Bush. But now the Canadian press seem to love Obama for some reason) as well as having gun-crazy psychopathic citizens who shoot each other over the smallest things. While Canada on the other hand is portrayed as having a happy-go-lucky polite population with a low crime rate, a loving government and fantastic health care system.

But if you actually look into what they're saying, thats probably only 20% truth.

@SarahN - farm animals are enslaved. Particularly the Chicken (thats why I have my reservations when it comes to eating chicken). It lives its life in a battery cage and factory farms are like CONCENTRATION CAMPS. Thats why as much as possible, I eat halal or organic meat and urge everyone else to do so.

But anyway, the human's natural predators are other humans. Particularly the power-hungry elite as well as the power-tripping-roidhead cops who think they're all-powerful just because they got a black uniform with some trinkets on it.

If I were an animal though, I'd be a bird. Because it can fly and is one of the most free animals in my opinion.
