Rant of the Day

I've recently been approached by some people who belong to some Filipino community kind of group. They wanted me to write up a script for some kind of stage play / presentation about Philippine History. You know, to make a history lesson ENTERTAINING and INTERESTING at the same time.

They told me its gonna be a mixed media kind of thing and a joint project. So far, I've done the "skeleton" of the play. Its start and end. The middle parts were designed in such a way that the other people can fill in. Doesnt matter if they wanna put in a skit, or a documentary, or a musical, or poetry, or anything else.

Anyway, the plot is set in the year 2300 AD (maybe I'd revise the script to make it 2100 AD or maybe 50 years into the future from this present day I'm still debating with myself on that), in where the Philippines, like all other nations, is under a global government that is the ultimate dictatorship – the globalist dictatorship that resulted from transnational corporations buying up the governments of all the countries in the world. There's no sovereign nations. All is part of the new global order.

And even in such a dark time, there's people who can see the light. In that case, its a certain Dr. Simoun Ibarra, a top executive/scientist who works for CEDULA TECHNOLOGIES, a firm that specializes in implantable microchips and other surveillance and weaponry technology designed to make spying on the public easier.

Anyway, if you read Philippine history, you'd more or less get an idea of how this plot will unfold. Because its designed to parallel certain events in Philippine history, particularly the Spanish era.

If they wont approve it, I'll just make it into another comic – its tentative title is gonna be called PROJECT PUGAD LAWIN. This one is gonna be 10x more political than MAG-ISA.

So far though, my brothers and the friends I showed it to, liked the plot so far. However, if it will be reviewed by other big fish in this particular Filipino organization, I feel that they might dismiss it for being too political.

But man… if ever my plot gets approved. Oh God… I'm excited but nervous at the same time!!! :)

@Walrus - younger people usually think that a relationship is all about fun and games. lmao. I used to see it that way too. When I was around 16 or something.
