Notes on Page (and Rant)

Congratulations to Maycroft for being the winner of the (extended) Fanart contest. This piece of art looks like Yusuke (Yuyu Hakusho) meets Sakura (Naruto). Maybe I should do a filler as a joke… Eman dressed up as Yusuke and Claudita dressed up as Sakura. :)

Anyway, please check out his comic, Superbad!!!

Meanwhile… do you wanna know the REAL winner of this fanart contest? Its really this guy known as greydamage. And here is his supposed entry for the fanart contest:
http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/326/1/1/hitori_by_greydamage-d32qk5o.jpg

He didnt wanna enter into the contest because he thinks that that is such a horrible ugly painting. O_O *facepalm with omfg gasp* So he loses this contest by forfeiture.

I mean what's wrong with you, bro!!!

I WISH I could draw like that. I probably *might* be half as good as he is if I spend 6 months in "art boot camp" or something. I mean… spending 8 hours a day for 6 months just grinding my head through art book after art book and learning the concepts and religiously doing the exercises in those books… and doing life drawing classes at the same time… while being mentored by an art teacher with very low tolerance for error… and with the same level of iron will type motivation to improve my art I had during the time period of 2002-2004. Those of you who have been following my comics since the beginning have definitely noticed the level of improvement in my art during the time period of 2002 - 2004.

But for the sake of newcomers, Let the evidence speak for itself:

Done back in 1998 or 1999

Still learning the rudiments of coloring with MS paint (2000)

Developed some level of proficiency with MS Paint (2001)

2002
MS paint with some free program on PHOTO EDITING (I even forgot whats the name of the program)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/killer34_5.jpg

Learned to use Photoshop… AT LAST!!! I absolutely loved the burn+dodge tools!!! I tried on these images:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/killer46_10.jpg

But without the PSP effects and blur effects, here's more or less where I'm at:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/killer42_6.jpg

2003
Clips from my old comic known as "KATROPA: The Story of Mara-Nina" that I never finished cuz I got bored of it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/act1_scene3_p3.jpg

2004

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/IMG_0910.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/sketch2.jpg

2005
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/kyupol/OLD%20ART/3.jpg

Anyway as compared to my art from 2004-2005 to not too long ago, there is little to no improvement. I mean, it just got refined naturally just by sheer repetition. And I learned and experimented a couple times with different coloring methods. But thats about it. The stagnation is clear. :)

Anyway, go check out greydamage's deviant art and tell him how awesome he is.

Hopefully he'll stop whining about how "horrible" he thinks his art is. :)

@Araya - lol. Super Saiyans do not exist. hehe… (at least in this comic)

@SoniaCBU - The reason I'm kind to the Christian is because of the following reasons:
- Upon further research and investigation, I discovered that CHURCHianity is NOT EQUAL to CHRISTianity. For starters, go look up (Acts17:24). And then I would like you to attend those "churches" that are run from a street corner or out of someone's living room. In most cases, the bigger the church, the more corrupt it is.

- I admire their tenacity in opposition to the New World Order. 90% of the time, the guy out handing DVDs and doing flyer runs and reaching out to the homeless (alot of them are victims of this corrupt and rotten Babylonian New World Order System!!!), etc. is a Christian.

- Their ability to love their enemies is indicative or a superior level of love. New Agers like to make fun of Christians and call them "laggards"… as if the "new age" love is somehow superior. New Agers generally have a higher level of spiritual knowledge than the average Christian but… New Ager love is INFERIOR to Christian love. They dont love their enemies. I arrived at that conclusion after grinding my head through tons of Christian and New Ager material. The Christian would bash your religion but with the intent of opening your eyes so you may go to heaven in the end. The New Ager (and other religions including atheism) would bash your religion with the intent of feeling high and mighty on top of an ivory tower. Get it?

@ghostrunner - stay tuned for the next pages. Improvements would be evident. As I'm experimenting on different methods and I just got back my motivation to improve.
