well hello from your long-lost pal!! I actually finished this two days ago,but the internet was magically not working, and then I went to Hartford to hang out with my sister and ended up sleeping over. No new updates for The Optimist still… ugh… I'm reworking my original idea for how this scene will work out (I had a realization about how to change it from my original idea in a way that will make it a lot more effective, but it really requires re-working what I have written… AND drawing stuff inside a real cathedral means… reference photos. barf.)

aaanyway, enuff about The Optimist!

I drew and inked two whole pages of misfas while on the bus/train from DC to NY to CT!!! :D so I have another page mostly done too! (just needs some toning! and dialogue.)
my dog is sleeping next to me and her eyes are twitching all cute-like. AW!

graduation was fun– yes, I graduated– but now that I'm home I feel like a terrible mooch. I really HAVE to get my license… D: I just am terrified of driving. I practiced this weekend a little, but I've just been SO BUSY! I don't really want to have to bike ride to work every day… I live far away from any business establishment, and my town is VEERRRY hilly, and also biking in the rain isn't fun. But I may have to… But I got my tax-return and I got $746! WOOT!!! i am rich~!~!~! unfortunately it's all going into the bank to pay off my credit card bill. (sad thing is I may have to bike ride to the bank!! D: nooo!!) But somewhere, mythically, in the bank my parents have some "savings" for me, so I may be able to buy a really crappy car. (I really want an old saab… my stepdad was like, 'they're going out of business and they're expensive' but I don't think that the 80's saabs are expensive– plus I heard that on classic cars you only have to pay like $80 a year on car insurance!!!)

AANYWAY. enough about that. This page. I felt bad last time for drawing Evil Flipper so poorly, so I put more effort in here, which I think paid off. although I drew this on a pretty bumpy bus,so some of my lines look kinda sloppy. Well, anyway, I'm not super-sure about the last panel, but I think it's okay; it gets the point across.

Well, I'm off to finish the next page, and perhaps work on The Optimist (grhh… having two comics is harder than I thought; you constantly have to switch modes! I'm in a MisfAs mode right now… D:!!)

and OH PS: I finally finished watching this anime called Kuroshitsuji– it had a really crappy plot arc halfway through, but it had one of the most satisfying endings ever… so poignant… watch Kuroshitsuji! it's about a boy named Ciel Phantomhive growing up in Victorian era England (glaring anachronisms abound, like modern weaponry, and the eiffel tower is made of… wood? but it's forgivable.) who is an Earl and who sold his soul to a demon for revenge against the people who killed his parents. And so the demon becomes his butler, named Sebastian, and they have the coolest friendship founded on mutual respect and codependence. Anyway. if you've got a lot of time to burn, check out Kuroshitsuji. :D

ok goodnight!!!!
