Of course, I'd already mentioned what R was doing, so this might not be much of a surprise.

I was trying to avoid the cliche of naming the gatorbot some variant of alligator when I remembered a type of gator called a Gavial, which meant I could call him Gav. Then I remembered a cartoonist by the same name & decided my Gav would have blue hair as a tribute. ;-)

I was working on this when I remembered a minor thing from a comic I had as a child, so i added it as a joke/tribute, then I added another thing & finally a third thing. Just wondering if anyone will figure out what comic I was thinking of?
