The boys and I were at the market the other day. They ALWAYS get excited when we hit the dairy section. I find it hard to fathom how a pair of munchkins can get so fired up over cow products. I used to think it was the cheese. I mean, it IS the reason why the bear on the California flag is smiling, isn’t it?
So they love eggs. Cole, being the young explorer/entrepreneuer that he is, has decided that bigger ALWAYS means better. Upon arriving at the egg fridge, I engage them in egg talk. Normal eggs come from normal chickens. Brown eggs come from Mexican chickens. Jumbo eggs come from monster chickens. We normally get the monster chicken eggs. You should hear the sounds [he thinks] they make.
Point being he’s always trying to find the largest eggs possible to bring home. I think I’ll hit a farmer’s market sometime and pick up a few goose eggs. I know those are elephantine compared to standard chicken eggs!
