So many of the books I've read warn against incurring and obligation to the Fae. I figure that Riley’s friendly Iron Fae would be no better. I remembered that smart as she is, HK is no scholar. She spent most of her childhood in slavery. Her mom was probably not to concerned about HK’s early education. So who taught HK to read? Sierra Nevada taught her little sister her basic education. Although not a substitute for a primary and secondary education she isn't totally ignorant.
Doesn't she have all that hereditary memory?
Yes but she is still learning to access it.
