Toad is just fun to draw. Little guy's just so understated.

Anyway, it's with this strip that we effectively launch the plot, and
it's a Mario Brothers comic, so what else is going to happen. (Peach
fans, don't worry, she'll be doing a lot more than just sitting on her
thumbs. She still hasn't officially been introduced, yet).

Incidentally, since you're reading a Mario Brothers webcomic, I figured you'd all like to check out The New Super Mario Adventures, hosted on Snafu. It's a beautifully colored retelling of Mario's early days.
