And now we get to learn what Mario's up to. One of the issues of dealing
with strip format is trying to find a balance between introducing
everything at once and making sure that nothing is overlooked. In the
earliest drafts of the comic, I actually wanted to put the second strip
first to start off with the funnier joke, but decided against it to make
sure Luigi and Toad got proper introductions. (Hey, how do I know you
already know these characters? You could have been living under a rock
since the sixties).
