Martin here. I'M REALLY REALLY SORRY, GUYS. Adobe Flash CS4's powers of devilry and destruction have reached a terrifying peak, and I had so much trouble that eventually I was forced to only half-finish today's comic. WHICH IS SAD BECAUSE THIS IS OUR FIRST COMIC MILESTONE. NOW IT'S LIKE A MILESTONE OF MEDIOCRITY. AUDIBLE SIGH. Theoretically, I had the time to finish but the terrible pain of losing the comic to a Flash crash (http://www.instantrimshot.com/) halfway through and some quality/resizing issues – on top of all the other crap I usually have to put up with – was just too much. I just basically quit cold turkey after I at least made the comic readable. Today, Adobe got a crash report that simply said “You know that the problem is? Adobe. Ever since you bought Macromedia nothing has been right in the world.” I'm not kidding, I literally sent this message. I promise you that I will colour and smooth out the page when I get the chance. Until then, please don't kill me. Please.

I don't care if you're immature and giggle if you see the word 'blow'. “Let's blow this pop stand” (or its long-lost orphan cousin “Let's blow this popsicle stand”) is still my favourite departure line other than “Let's make like a baby and head out.” Speaking of leaving, I'll be in California between August 20 and August 31. This means NO COMICS DURING THIS 12-DAY PERIOD. SHOCK AND DISMAY. You will miss THREE COMIC UPDATES. I'M SORRY. TO MAKE UP FOR IT, MITCHELL AND I WILL TRY TO DO SOMETHING AMAZING ON THE THURSDAY I COME BACK (September 3rd).

Time spent researching what a straightjacket looks like: 0 seconds.

Mitchell here. Would it be weird if I said I liked the art in this comic? It is a tad disappointing that it's not coloured, but it's good nonetheless, right? YAY TEN COMICS!! I'm truly amazed at how much this comic has progressed in the short amount of time that it's been going. In a little over a month, we have gone to 145th place in Comic Strips, and 621st overall. That's on the whole goddamn site. We're at 2.5k in page views (that's an average of 87 a day), and we've never missed an update. I cannot say how proud I am of this comic.

Of course, the people we have to thank for this success is everyone reading this right now (people who read the comic and not the flavour text just suck D
