There are times when having the Duke in the cast just cries out for the use of one of his signature phrases.
The spook comment is something I overheard once and I think the original rejoinder was Semper Fi Mac. A way of saying "I'm airborne or a Marine and am too stupid to know any better." or "We're in this together and don't get bent over racial jokes"
