I'm back and I brought a page with me.

As it has been probably mentioned before, Gundula keeps having trouble with the authorities for several reasons. One is their computer system that can't accept people without a last name or a birthdate before 1900. Making something up doesn't work either, as there is always some trainee cleaning up the archives who'd cause even more trouble. Perhaps it wouldn't be that bad if Gundula's job wouldn't require her to make applications for special permits very frequently - like e.g. a temporary permission to keep a red list protected animal, e.g. a tiger.

This page also shows something very typical of Bremen, that is however not immediately apparent:
Bremen has a very beautiful gothic town hall built in the early 15th century, but the only thing you'll find there are Japanese or American couples asking you to take a picture with their camera. ;-) If you're looking for Bremen's administration you will find, that it is divided onto quite a number of ugly buildings built between the 50s and the 70s which are randomly spread over its entire area of about 400 square kilometers. One of the largest and more important of them is this one, about one and a half miles away from the centre. If you're not 100% sure which office is the one you have to go to you might be in for quite an odyssey. Franz Kafka would have loved it.
