Smoking ban

Yeah, okay, smoking is bad for your health, but that's no reason to ban it. Those who want to smoke will anyway. We're still a free country, so everybody should have a right to destroy themselves after their own fashion.

ADDITIONAL AUTHOR'S COMMENT, THIRTEEN YEARS LATER:

The funny thing is, there's quite a number of things in this page that I think a bit differently about today (and could draw WAY better at that). The only thing that hasn't changed is that I still feel that, as Cicero said 2000 years ago, the more laws there are, the more injustice there will be. It's one of the very few "political" pages I did until I realised that that's not really the kind of thing I'm fond of doing. It's also about the last instance Gundula has smoked, this scene being the only reason to draw her with a cigarette in the few other instances I did… Oh well, I stand by my past mistakes. All of them. They're just part of my history of growing as a comic creator.
