A walk in the park

Back to the present.

Bremen's municipal park has been inaugurated in the 19th century and has been run by a club of volunteers ever since. The other purpose of that club is collecting money by organising concerts, art events and suchlicke, as the whole thing is funded from donations only.
The park is most famous for its huge system of artificial channels as well as for the fancy bridges crossing them. Those have been donated by wealthy Bremen merchants when the park was built. There is also a rowing boat rental in the centre, which is open to everyone.
