step 5: remove the sebaceous gland from the tail (otherwise the duck would be quite inpalatable when roasted)
step 6: singe off all the tiny hairs and the remains of the downs (works better with a blowtorch than with a candle, but Gundula hasn't got one)
step 7 (not shown): clean out the inside with lots of water.
