Yeah, I know, I wanted to keep these Funfacts-issues short, but I had a lot of ideas for this one that I all liked, and I didn't want to make the files too big. If anyone thinks these pages take too long to load, please do contact me and I'll try to come up with something.

It's a fitting day to post a witch comic about flying broomsticks, because in Germany the night from April 30th to May 1st, that we call the "Walpurgisnacht" is traditionally the night when witches meet, when they fly up on their broomsticks to the Brocken, the highest peak of the gloomy, wild and often foggy Harz mountains to dance around large bonfires performing sinister rituals. Gundula simply uses this night to celebrate her annual "25th" birthday, as her real birthdate has been lost in the mists of time.

Also, meet a new character, Christian Lütjens, an unemployed electrician and Gundula's great-grandson. I've always been reluctant to introduce more characters than Gundula and the tiger in this comic (that's why I'm making cameos; you already know me in a way), but I'm making an exception here. I guess of all characters I have thought up so far he's the one most similar to me. In my old rough drafts, he is Gundula's sidekick explaining her all things technical in easy terms (as she has no idea of that stuff) and doing the odd job for her. In turn he occupies her guest's room quite more often than his own home. The relationship is a bit like Mr. Stringer's to Ms. Marple or Obelix's to Asterix, only he's not that shy. He's not that averse to the odd beer either.

If you like him, he'll probably turn up more often.
