Werder Bremen vs. Tiger: 0 : 2

They sure don't make footballs like they used to - it lasted no more than two pages in the tiger test. ;)

Now for a little story: The police called me a few days ago. They found a bike that had been stolen from me over ten years ago, and that I could pick it up if I like. As it was just a hundred kilometres away from my place I of course did so. I can tell you, the German police has somewhat risen in my esteem now.

Some trivia for this story arc:
The football club Werder Bremen really exists (as most European readers might know anyway). They are currently celebrating their 111th anniversary. However, I did not portray any of the real players but invented some of my own, as I did not want to set the comic in a specific year or even decade. Every similarity is therefore pure coincidence and blah. (Yeah, OK, the player on this page
does look a bit like real team captain Thorsten Frings, but that really isn't intentional.)
The skull and bones motive is actually used by another Northern German football club, FC St. Pauli, one of the two important clubs from Hamburg, which I only realised after drawing the punk in the crowd some pages ago. Bremen and Hamburg clubs are traditionally great rivals, so I think it fits.

Next update will probably be a bit shorter as I intend to concentrate on my DD-award presentation. I will link it in the author's comments when it's posted.
