He's Great-Granny's little trooper! :)

Surprised that he ignores the squirrel? Well, even big cats know some kind of hierarchy, and from his point of view it's Gundula's, respectively Christian furry toy now. He knows better than to challenge her - they've already settled who's the boss by now.

Besides, it is not uncommon in nature that predators and prey can keep some kind of "truce" when they live in the same den, e.g there are well-documented cases of foxes and rabbits living in the same burrow, although they are still enemies as soon as they are a few metres away from the entrance. I know tigers don't live in burrows but I'm pretty sure, that one of those two phenomenons or even both are at the core of the occassional smelly surprise under the bed that most cat owners know all too well.
