Winter Time is Kale Time!

Just when I finally managed to get the page done in time my internet connection keeps failing. *bangs head against the wall*

Anyway. Finally the weather is cold enough for me to get into proper kale party mood, so I decided to post another kale episode. Last year I already did so with a few pages that also explain this tradition typical of Bremen and its surroundings: 1, 2, 3.

Gundula does everything on behalf of the kale king (the one who ate most the year before and has to organise the party) as the incumbent kale king unfortunately cannot talk. ;) The contests are just for fun, by the way. The winner usually gets the honour of proposing the next toast or something.
