[p]This is what happens when I get two weeks to do a page instead of just one. For the record: the page was mostly finished on Friday already, save the lettering. Unfortunately, I was needed elsewhere and came back only just now. Sorry anyway! The idea to include more panels to make up for last week didn't help either.[/p]
[p]I'm also sorry to say that this comic may update a tad erratically for the next few weeks, since I have to focus on my exam preparations now.[/p]
[p]I struggled with myself for a while whether I should set a story in Worpswede or no, since there I've got a few personal memories connected with this village, not all of which are fond ones. However, I realised that Worpswede in itself had nothing to do with them and that it's frankly one of the places that just mustn't miss in any proper portrait of Bremen and its surroundings. Besides, it provides the perfect setting for the little story I have in mind. It was a good thing I did this, because drawing it gave me a new appreciation of the place that I didn't hitherto have.[/p]
[p]All of the structures seen on this page exist, save of course the gallery in the last panel; the first two were artists' homes and are museums nowadays, the third one is a café. The background of the second panel may or may not be inspired by this as a reference to the painters that made Worpswede famous (it's not the only art reference hidden on this page, by the way). Naturally, I do not wish to suggest that the entire village looks like this, but in fact quite a lot of it does. Trying to make your home look as unusual as possible seems to be sort of a tradition there.[/p]
[p]Thanks for reading and commenting and may you never be haunted by dadaist poltergeists! ;)[/p]
