Holy Smokes!

Well it seems Drunk Duck hit a rough patch as far as functionality over last week, and it only got worse through the weekend… to the point where the site seemed to totally shut down. No idea what happened there (I've heard theories ranging from Hurricane Ike to "Platinum shut down DD for good!"), but my apologies to anyone who was inconvenienced by this. I know some comments and whatnot over the weekend got erased, blah, not gonna pretend to know more about it than I do….

BUT! All the more reason to bookmark www.mastorism.com, no? hee hee.. shameless plug!

Anyhow, down to nuts and bolts. The meeting for Jefe and John John that we're now experiencing: Its been something that I've had in my mind for a long, long, LONG, LONG time. I don't really write stuff out much, but I could show you a notebook or two with various takes on this conversation. I'll save that for some graphic novel commentary if it ever comes to that!

Anyhow, as the time grew closer and closer, a much more streamlined version of this meeting came into focus. There's an exchange of information that has to take place, yes, but I really wanted this confrontation to show who they are to each other at this moment, as characters, and how they see each other. In fact, this exact page is one of the few, imagery/tone-wise, pages that I had a very clear picture of in my head before I layed it out…

So, I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do, and as much as I've enjoyed putting it together… The conversation will continue, not on Thursday, but next Tuesday. Thursday we'll cut to another area on Aerth, for the SHOCKING (Wooooo) conclusion of chapter 2!
