Today (or technically when you read this, yesterday) marks a pretty big milestone for Mastorism! Yep! One full year on Drunk Duck! Amazing how its flown by, how many cool people I've met, and how much fun I've had doing this! I want to thank all of you for being such loyal and passionate readers, critics, and friends. I appreciate it all more than words could describe. If it weren't for you, I don't think I would have kept it up! Thank you!

To say thanks, for anyone who wants one, if you shoot me an email at mastorism@gmail.com with you address, I will send you a free Mastorism sticker… really! You can, um, stick it on stuff! Just send it between now and the other super huge milestone coming up next thursday…

YOU KNOW…

PAGE 100!!!!

So anyway, seemed like the overwhelming consesnus was to reply to comments on the new page. So you'll see that here (new policy for the new year, I suppose). We'll see how that goes. I have to imagine this commentary will be super long now, I figure.

Today's page: weird huh? Not an oft used power my any measure of the imagination, probably somethign channeled by Matt's rage, and what kind of effects it will have.. well you'll just have to wait and see.

One of the things, of the many stepping stones, I had to hit, was Matt and DJ doing battle. Its one of the few elements from the old stories that I felt I HAD to do. What became tough/interesting was that, as I had redefined both Matt's and her powers to be more mental/telepathic (vs. more generic power blasts, super strenght, etc that was typical of all mastors in the old days), the actual fighting would have to be less physical and more of a mental strenth game of one-upmanship. Something ELSE had to happen too (as you will see).. so this was a natural, albiet weird, direction for this to go. It was truly one of those points where, I may have stuck the characters there, but they really dictated the scene on their own. Y'know, which is cool.

NEXT WEEK, we're headed back to earth, and we're going to see a bit of a cameo by one of my favorite characters who I was hoping would show up more, but, just hasn't. That should be fun… then after that, we have to head over to Wog to see what's happening with the rest of Z-Squad, and then FINALLY back to Sector 5 to see what the heck is happening here– sorry to leave you hanging for two weeks, but… not THAT sorry!

Thanks for reading and commenting, here are my replies to Tuesday's comments (for your sake, I'm going to refrain from commenting about the comments on where to put comments (ha), since its clear where they ended up):

—————

AzuJOD - Thanks, and sorry, the comments are going the other way, due to popular demand.

Aghammer - I never said he wasn't a butt! He is! And yeah, whether or not Jefe is dead, its pretty clear that DJ did not kill him. He likely could have been killed in the battle on Sector 5, though. Thanks for the compliment!

japlander - You got mer there! I have to admit I'm a bit of a sucker for cheesy villanous dialog, and this is one of the moments where it certianly shows.

always - One set of powers… coming up!

trevor - Thanks!

mushroom - Yes Matt has changed much from the person we met on Stell back in chapter 1. While a number of Mastors were like stormtrooper-order-following-drones (like the ones they just finished fighting, that the Sec-5 dude thinks Matt is), DJ realizes that Matt is part of the group that is/was on the fence about the war, and a possibly ally. And I will say definitively, if Jefe is dead, DJ did not kill him. I don't mind folks knowing that.

Jabali - At some point, I'll have to delve more into Matt's history, but when we first found Matt back in chapter 1, he had made a hermit of himself on the planet Stell, after some shamefull events. Jefe's confidence in him is what really turned him around, but it would seem that Matt really needed Jefe to hold it together. The irony is that Jefe would be seriosly ashamed of Matt's behavior…. were he alive! Thanks for the compliment.

Repoman - Thanks bro! Inking compliments from you are like uh… analogy for something really good, cause, I'm a big fan of YOUR inks… and, frankly, all of your skills.

jazzcop - Thanks! You wanted action! One of the things I'm working on his better facial expressions, so you'll see more of that in the pages to come. And yeah… seems like you were very receptive to all the moods I was trying to convey! Woo hoo!

DAJB - Sly comment, buddy. I like your style! ;)

wellsee - Thanks!
