OH NO NO NO.. things are going to get much DARKer before they get lighter.
Incidentally. There's been a number of things Jeff and I came up with in our original Mastorism layout (some which I ditched because of this others I kept and didn't care) that have popped up in mainstream comics and other media (thereby showing the originality of our ideas, I suppose). One that really got me cheezed was DC using the letter U for universe. As in the DCU. That actually did come after we had done it, and using "Mastorism U" "Dark U" etc was something, I thought, was fairly unique to us. So– I was pretty upset when DC started that (this was somewhere in the 10+ years between the high school comics and me starting it up again).
Recently, and I can't claim to have much knowledge about what the stories are actually about, since I don't read any Marvel comics– But I know the new thing there is Dark Reign where they have the Dark Avengers, Dark X-Men… etc… Which, I've already continued here with the Dark Universe, the Dark Mastor, and Dark Jefe.
…er.. well.. what did YOU think "DJ" stood for, right?
So anyway, I'm not to worried about it. Its not like "dark" is all that original of a concept. In fact, while the "Dark" portion of Mastorism was definitely one of Jeff's creations*, it almost certainly got its name from "Darker Image" (still waiting on #2) and the whole "dark" fad of the early 90s.
Eh… so anyway, I've typed so much, I'm actually running late now. SO! Thanks for reading and commenting. The trial will wrap up on Thursday, and then we'll see the final fate of John John? Hmmm!

*Oh! Almost forgot getting back to that asterisk: Originally Mastorism was a comic called (first) Jefe and (later) Mastor Of Puppets. These were my comics, I think I used a company name of something clever like "Grant Comics." Jeff had started a rival "company" called Dark Comics, which among other characters, featured John John. After some time, we had decided to connect our universes (which was the framework for what would become Mastorism), thus the universe of Dark Comics becoming "The Dark Universe" and the Mastor of Puppets universe becoming "The Mastorism Universe." And we had a really clever story to resolve this continuity, but I think I'll have to wait a week or two before divulging that nugget, so I don't give anything away here…

mushroom - It was a bit on the unbelivable side, I know… I was watching Batman: Brave and the Bold the other day, and Batman busted out of these chains like they were nothing, and they didn't make much of a deal about it (like it was run of the mill stuff for the guy)– So I figure, if my guy is gonna do something unbelievable… Might as well make a big deal about it and show it off! I really have no explanation for John John's strenght there other than adrenaline rage!

Ben - heh, well there are only a couple instances where it would come up, so when they do I go for non swearing options so that its kid friendly (since it is a spacey sci fi superheroic kinda thing that might appeal to kids).
