Welcome to the last full week of Mastorism… for now!
I'm getting kinda sad here, but its actually working out as I have a lot of stuff happening in the next couple months, so it will work out to be on an extended break.
That said, I AM thinking about something I can do to continue posting… more on that later.
Today we have the last we see of the Phantom Lord for this story. A bit fitting as he was nominated for best antagonist, in the DD awards, which kicks off announcing winners today. He's an interesting character to write because on one hand, he truly believes what he's doing is best for the universe, but on the other hand, he knows he's been doing some horrible, horrible stuff.
I had some mixed feelings about ending the story here. The root of it all is that this story is a set up for the next one, which is the story I've REALLY been wanting to tell. But I felt that this was a tad too much to be relegated to "back story"- but in order to leave off for the next story… this kinda had to end in a "bad guy wins" kinda situation. But as you can see, that win is bittersweet, so hopefully its satisfying as an end in that regard. At least enough to hold you over for a while!
Thursday we're going to yet another Universe! But some where we've been, with some folks we know, but haven't seen in quite some time. Who could it be? Hmmmm… Toaster* for the first person to guess, and toast* to the most amusing wrong answer.

AzuJOD - If i have my way (and, its my comic, so I can) by the time I'm totally through with Mastorism, there'll be more aliens than humans.
