Sonia enjoys the simple moments in life.

I'm not sure if I need to point this out or not, (seeing as how you guys are pretty dang astute) but Sonia is about the same age Will was when he was drafted.
Probably one of the reasons he likes her is because she reminds him of the simpler, innocent times he was that age.
