New character: Phia! Phia is NOT an elf. Those ears just mean shes a mage, along with her necklace.
Also, those diamonds? They're holes in her shirt. Phia likes to show skin. Also, the dark skin + blonde hair is totally natural… it's possible in Alberine. Because… genetics work differently there… or something.

The text from the book Ember was made up in about 5 seconds, but inspired by the book The City of Ember.

Also, it's important to remember that May'le is not a slut. She may work with some slutty people (Applebye Tavern is pretty low-brow, apparently) but she is merely an entertainer.

I tried a new method today… instead of scanning my sketched and trying to do lineart without a tablet, I simply inked the drawings and then added color directly to the scans without doing lineart. This method saves a lot of time, so I might be able to add fancier, not-just-one-dimenstional color. We'll see. However, one thing's for sure: I need a better inking pen. The one I currently have is old, capless, and was found at the bottom of the Sharpie drawer.
