I like writing for Phia… she's pretty blonde and she had a devil-may-care side that is typical in thieves but not so typical for mages.

The comic says that Phia is "sensitive". This is because every elemental magic has a special talent that goes along with it: water mages can heal, wind mages can fly, fire mages can tell the future, and earth mages are attuned to the world around them. These powers can run in different strengths regardless of the strength of the mage… Phia is a very powerful earth mage but her sensitivity is somewhat weaker, and May is a pretty strong healer even though she doesn't have enough water magic to bother being certified as a mage and undergoing the training.

As for the mages crest, they come in 4 levels. Bronze means level 4, or an apprentice mage, silver means level 3, or a journeying mage, gold means level 2, or a full mage, and glass means level 1, or a master mage. Mages crests contain information about the mage and can also be used to store magic.
